Amazones was born an only child in the Far West. A group of rouge mercenaries took her from her mother while destroying her village when she was only five years old. They planned to train her to be an able-bodied lieutenant to fill their ranks.

The mercenaries trained her how to avoid detection by moving silently and hiding in shadows. They also taught her how to fight with simple weapons that can be easily manufactured, as well as how to defend herself even while unarmed. Amazones learned well, but she never forgot what they did.

Amazones had learned enough to survive on her own, but not enough to confront her captors. She stowed away on a trading vessel that was heading east with the intent of finding her own way in the world and, eventually, returning to settle the score.

Amazones joined Belramos, Brell, Ka, Ryder, and Threll in performing simple tasks in the Maethelburg area such as hunting wolves, exterminating rats and stirges, hunting bear, and fighting ogres. In the heat of the battle in the secret underground caverns of Castle Caldwell, Amazones used Molotov cocktails which helped prevent the party from being overrun. As penance for using fire as a weapon, Amazones cut her hair and has not used any monk special attacks for the last two adventures.
